We have played in the renovated sanctuary at Emmanual Lutheran and it is fantastic! If they had been thinking only of making a brass quintet happy when they planned the changes, they couldn't have done better. The floor is now all one level, the altar rail is gone and there is no fixed furniture. Besides enhancing worship there we look forward to using the space for many concerts, fundraisers and recording projects.

News from the CCBQ
The concert at Descanso Gardens was everything that a late summer's evening concert should be. The weather was warm, the setting was lush, and the food and wine pairings looked delicious. As we played, Plein Air artist Karen Winters painted the scene and the finished picture can be see on our Photo Gallery page. We performed music from some of the countries that produced the wine the audience was drinking, with special thanks to Stanley Friedman for his great Variations on the Rag which we attributed to his famous uncle who suddenly and necessarily was from Australia.
